Classes are held at the Carlsbad Dove Library (1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad) and at our new location, Platypus Kids (1441 Encinitas Blvd, Suite 126, Encinitas). Platypus Kids is an upscale resale clothing store with a beautiful classroom within. We are excited to introduce you to this facility because it is perfect for our classes. Family Music for Babies and Toddlers (Newborn - 3 Years)
Participate with your child for 45 minutes each week in singing, chanting, moving, dancing, listening, and playing simple instruments. These weekly classes are action-filled for toddlers - full of energy, often on the move, always exploring and learning - and their parents. Together you’ll sing, chant, move, dance, listen, and play simple instruments, all activities that bridge the natural connection between music and movement through four wonder-filled semesters.

Advanced Girls' Performance Show Choir (Ages 9-12)
Sound System Kids is proud to present the opportunity for children to participate in show choir geared specifically for this age group. This performing group will meet weekly to learn holiday songs and dances that will be performed at various venues at the semester's end. Girls will enhance their ensemble singing and dancing skills, gain confidence in performing, learn to work together as a team, and learn how to polish their performances. Vocal technique and music education will be emphasized during rehearsals. Solfege and sight reading will be explored more in depth. Performances will be held tentatively on Nov. 16, Dec. 5, and Dec 10th. In past semesters, this group has performed at the Dove Library Auditorium, Carlsbad Premium Outlets, Balboa Park's December Nights, and Girls on the Go.
