Instructors Wendy and Kristen have been busy this summer.  See what they've been up to below:

Wendy recently appeared as Adelaide in Guys and Dolls at the Avo-Playhouse

Kristen recently sang with Sacra Profana and the San Diego Symphony in their Summer Pops Series.  See more about the concerts in this San Diego Union Tribune article.  Ms. Kristen's the blurry one on the right :)

With Composer Michael Giacchino.  He is an Oscar winning composer who wrote the film scores for Up, the new Star Treks, Super 8, just to name a few.

FREE Summer Performance Opportunity

Come Join Us for a performance at Sunrise Assisted Living.  We invite you to prepare a solo, vocal or instrumental, and come with us to perform for the residents at Sunrise.  This will be a fun performance to showcase your talents, gain performing experience, and connect with some older folks in our community.  We will also join them to sing some patriotic songs.  Performance is June 26th at 2PM.  This opportunity is FREE!  Just e-mail us at info@soundsystemkids.org if you'd like to participate.  Please include your student's name, student's age, and performance piece so we can put it on the program.  We are happy to provide accompaniment if you send us the music ahead of time.  We can take a limited number of students, so let us know soon.  Happy Summer!
